Rubaru Psychotherapy

An encounter with yourself.

Meet Your Therapist at Rubaru

I am Manali Arora, a psychotherapist. I work with a psychoanalytic, psychodynamic and relational approach to psychotherapy. This means that our work together will delve into the unconscious, early experiences in the here-and-now of the therapeutic space to explore how it shapes your current thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

My way of working is insight-oriented than solution-focused, with an aim to help understand the immediate and larger issues that bring you here, as well as to help empower your sense of agency over your own life through strengthened self-awareness.

Through my work, I wish to hold space for conversations about myriad aspects of your life (psychological, relational, emotional concerns, beliefs, and feelings) with the idea of improving mental health, relationships and overall quality of life.

More about Me

I have found writing to be another way of deepening my practice. My articles have been featured in the New Associations magazine of the British Psychoanalytic Council, Psychoanalytic Dialogues, and the Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics, among others. Each piece has grown out of the questions and experiences I encounter in the therapy room, allowing me to share reflections on the complexities of being human.

I have also had the privilege of presenting my work at numerous conferences such as at the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, the Association for the Psychoanalysis of Culture & Society, and the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy + Psychoanalysis. These gatherings have been places where I continue to learn, exchange ideas, and stay connected to a community of therapists and scholars equally committed to understanding the nuances of human experience.

For me, these opportunities have been more about staying open; learning, sharing, and bringing fresh insights back to my work with the people I sit with.

I am also an enthusiastic pianist!
