Meet Your Therapist at Rubaru

I am Manali Arora, a psychotherapist. I work with a psychoanalytic, psychodynamic and relational approach to psychotherapy. This means that our work together will delve into the unconscious, early experiences in the here-and-now of the therapeutic space to explore how it shapes your current thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

My way of working is insight-oriented than solution-focused, with an aim to help understand the immediate and larger issues that bring you here, as well as to help empower your sense of agency over your own life through strengthened self-awareness.

Through my work, I wish to hold space for conversations about myriad aspects of your life (psychological, relational, emotional concerns, beliefs, and feelings) with the idea of improving mental health, relationships and overall quality of life.

More about Me

I have found writing to be another way of deepening my practice. Each piece, that you can find in the Professional Contributions section has grown out of the questions and experiences I encounter in the therapy room, allowing me to reflect on the complexities of being human.

I have also had the opportunity to present my work at numerous conferences. These have been spaces where I continue to learn, exchange ideas, and stay connected to a community of therapists and scholars equally committed to understanding the nuances of human experience.

For me, these opportunities have been more about staying open; learning, sharing, and bringing fresh insights back to my work with the people I sit with.

I am also an enthusiastic pianist!
